Frequently Asked Questions
What saws is the Thin Rip Gauge compatible with?
Our Thin Rip Gauge works with any saw that has standard size 3/8” x 3/4” "T" miter slots. This includes most standard table saws on the market today.
Will this jig work with my table saw?
The Thin Rip Gauge is compatible with table saws that have 3/8” x 3/4” "T" miter slots, including most standard table saws. However, we also provide a Modification Guide for various saw models that have different slot sizes. We have guides for Evolution, Delta, and Ryobi table saws, which might also work for you. Please note that some other brands of table saws use the same sorts of miter slots as these three brands.
If that doesn’t work for your setup, feel free to email us at contact@sawinery.net for further assistance.
The Thin Rip Gauge doesn’t fit my table saw track. What should I do?
If your saw has non-standard miter slots, we offer modification guides to help adapt the Thin Rip Gauge. If you need additional support, email us at contact@sawinery.net, and we’ll help find a solution.
Can this be used with a bandsaw?
Yes, it can be used with a bandsaw. However, some bandsaws with very small miter tracks may require using the T-bolts that come with the Thin Rip Gauge or other modifications. You can either create a track insert to fit or remove the track insert from your saw’s miter gauge and adapt it to the Thin Rip Gauge.
What is the minimum thickness I can cut with this tool?
Based on our testing, the Thin Rip Gauge can cut strips as thin as 1/16" with precision.
