Yes! The jig includes a detachable short drilling block that’s perfect for quick fixes or drilling inside tight cabinet corners.

You should always use pocket hole screws for pocket hole joinery. These screws are "washer head screws." If you use standard wood screws, which have an angled head for countersinking, the screw head will go too far into the wood, causing it to split. The jig works with all standard pocket hole screws—coarse-thread for softwoods, fine-thread for hardwoods. We include a sample pack to get you started.
