The Sawinery Thin Rip Gauge allows you to rip multiple strips of wood to the exact same thickness on a table saw or bandsaw. Compatible with any saw featuring 3/8” x 3/4” miter slots, this tool improves safety by positioning the cut-off strip outside the blade, reducing the risk of kickback or material damage. It also creates more space between the blade and fence for using a push stick.

Made from machined and anodized aluminum with brass and plastic adjustment knobs, the gauge's dual ball bearings hold the material securely against the fence. For optimal results, pair it with a zero-clearance insert plate to avoid trapping material in the blade well. The gauge provides both inch and millimeter scales for precise adjustments, ensuring consistently accurate cut.

Highlights

  • Provides a safe, convenient, accurate means of making repetitive rip cuts on the table saw
  • Comes with two different T-bolt types, making it compatible with all standard T-track types
  • Dual track locking knobs help ensure that gauge can’t move once tightened down, even with vibration

How To Use The Thin Rip Gauge

  • Smooth Operation with Dual Ball-Bearings

Dual ball-bearings make contact with the wood as it's being cut, significantly reducing friction. This ensures smoother operation and greater accuracy when making thin, precise cuts.

  • Locking Knob for Secure, Repeatable Cuts

The adjustable locking knob ensures that once you’ve set the gauge for your cut, it remains firmly in place for repeated, consistent cuts.

  • Dual Inch and Metric Scales

Includes both inch and millimeter scales, allowing you to choose your preferred unit. The inch scale is in increments of 1/16” and metric scale is in 1mm increments. Inch scale is 3 ½” long and metric is 10cm.
